Our Wednesday Lunch Time Bible Study is a space for deepening your understanding of Scripture while improving your familiarity with biblical English, especially for those who speak English as a second language. This welcoming group blends faith exploration with language learning in an encouraging, friendly environment.

In 2022, we recognized the growing need for a Bible study tailored to members of our church who speak English as a second language. This group began with a focus on reading the Bible aloud and learning new vocabulary in a supportive setting. Over time, we’ve shifted our emphasis toward applying biblical lessons to everyday life while continuing to help participants grow their confidence in using faith-related language.

We meet every Wednesday during lunchtime, a time that fits well with other activities at the church. Many participants enjoy our warm-space café in the morning and stay afterward for English lessons. It’s a day filled with fellowship, learning, and encouragement!

Our growing community

Since starting, our group has grown into a vibrant community of around 20 participants. We welcome newcomers, including individuals from other churches, who are eager to explore Scripture and connect with others.

As of August 2024, we’ve expanded into two groups:

  1. Main Group: Focuses on reading and discussing the Bible while improving English skills.
  2. Newcomer Group: Opened for seekers and newer Christians, offering a gentler introduction to biblical teachings and community life.
