Our connect group currently has twenty-five adults and three young boys. We have three leaders, and our members come from various parts of Europe, Africa, Hong Kong, as well as locally.
The group was established in January 2023.
Our goal is to strengthen our group dynamics, fostering a sense of belonging for everyone and allowing each person to feel God’s love within our community.

Happy Moments
There’s a connect group sharing with prayers in the church at the coffee time once every two months. Since we have a big group, we have one group in English for the hongkongers and the English-speaking members. The other group is in Cantonese.
Besides the gatherings in the church, members enjoy picnics, walks, lunch gatherings in pubs and Chinese-style hotpot gatherings at some members’ houses. Once, one member prepared a traditional Albanian cake for us to share. It’s so yummy and tasty. We can feel her love for God and her willingness to serve through the cake.
We also invite some seekers in our group to have evangelical Bible study. We can share our faith, and the seekers know more about the message of salvation. The seekers take time to experience the guidance of the lord. We can see the Holy spirit is working in their hearts.

Development of our Group
We have combined with the Caversham group last year because their members were not very stable at that time. As more and more people guided by the lord and attending the church, there was a need to separate our group to take care of the members living in Caversham and near oxford road in September 2024. After separation, we still have 25 members, and more new members are coming.

Central Reading group must face the situation of the mobility of our members because it’s quite expensive to rent a house in central. Moreover, the Council always relocate the refugees to new places.
We can see God’s work among us. Do pray for us.
