We are the group 6 of South Reading, our group members are from the same geographical location and the area is close and easy for us to take care with each other. We believe the love of God is among us, allowing us to tolerate, encourage and support each other with various activities, including lunch gathering, pray for each other, sharing our beliefs and sharing our update situation with each other. Through our group activities makes us more harmonious and closer to the Lord. Moreover, we will arrange the bible study time in the coming days so that we can deepen our understanding of God’s words.
Fellowship is very important for Christian growth because of Christ love. We build up a good relationship and encourage each other especially when facing plenty of challenges. Without fellowship, it would be difficult for us to come together and build relationships with each other, so fellowship is good for us to stay strong faith in God.
Ecclesiastes 4:10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
The most important is to build a relationship with God, otherwise our faith cannot grow and this is a lifelong lesson for every believer. Likewise our team helps each other build good relationships and mutual acceptance by encouraging, kindness and helping each other with genuine love.
Our unity comes from our common beliefs, sharing experience, keep praying to enable us to have mutual cooperation in God’s work so that we can be more completely dedicated to God.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. Colossians 3:23
When we come together in fellowship, we reflect the unity of the God and it is necessary for our spiritual growth.
In the past we have arranged the activities of lunch gatherings, prayer and sharing. Of course we had a wonderful gathering where we got to know each other so that our team developed a good relationship to communicate with each other. But so far our work has not been good enough. We still need to do more to give our members more experiences with God, so we will arrange bible study and hope to strengthen their faith and know how to rely completely on the Lord. On the other hand, in order to foster fellowship, we have also scheduled a meeting every two months so that we can have a deeper relationship with each other in the Lord.
Our fellowship was established in January 2023, our group has arranged 3 times lunch gatherings at John’s house and Julia’s house. During these gathering we have the chance to get to know each other, share our experiences, true feelings and pray for one another to help our members build a strong, long lasting and genuine friendships. As a way of connecting with each other, we support each other when meet challenge, respect our differences and admit our weaknesses. Unity connects us together, makes us stronger and strengthens our faith in the Lord.
The next gathering will be for lunch on November 3rd, we unite with Jesus to support each other, sharing our feeling, strengthen friendship building and establish Lord’s love among us.
Besides, our member Moses had a new family member born in March this year. This is an inheritance given to them by God. We bless them well and pray for them because it is God’s grace.
My command is this: love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15: 12 – 13
