Website Development/ Management Team

Modernising the website

By God’s grace, Abbey Baptist Church has grown significantly over the past two years, reflecting its commitment to serving the local community. As Reading welcomes new immigrants and refugees, the church has an opportunity to expand its reach and support.

To meet these needs, the church plans to create a modern, user-friendly website. This new platform will welcome seekers, engage members, and improve visibility, making it easier for others to discover and connect with Abbey Baptist Church’s mission.

Our Goal

The plan for the new Abbey Baptist Church website focuses on creating a modern, mobile-friendly, and content-rich platform. Key steps include choosing the right hosting, CMS, and tools, implementing SEO strategies to boost visibility, and ensuring secure, stable operations. Regular updates and usability improvements will keep the site relevant and user-friendly.

Our Team

Our four-member team brings extensive experience in IT and website development, ensuring the expertise to handle this project from planning to execution. We’ve chosen a robust hosting plan, a scalable CMS platform, and top web development tools to enhance user experience and streamline the process.

To create a functional and visible website, we’re using advanced AI and SEO technologies to optimize search rankings and personalize user experiences. Currently, we’re gathering content from church teams to ensure comprehensive representation, with plans to proceed to content editing and migration for a seamless transition.

Our Passion and Progress

During the team formation and preparation stages, we sensed a strong divine presence, feeling that God’s provision was guiding us and that we were supported by many angels. Each team member is deeply committed to serving God and the church, actively contributing their unique ideas, web development expertise, and experiences gained from previous projects.

Before initiating the website development process, we conducted several research studies and surveys. First, we carried out a mini survey of religious websites to identify the most common functions and features typical of church websites. Next, we formulated and discussed an initial website structure with the church deacon team. Additionally, the hosting plan and budget have been reviewed and confirmed.

A Collaborative Spirit

We have received tremendous support from various serving team leaders and activity owners, who regard us as one family within the church. This collaborative spirit fosters mutual learning among team members, embodying the wisdom found in the Bible:

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. (Romans 12:6-8)
